Super Dough for Pizza, Bread, Bun


This easy dough recipe is great for beginners and produces a veriety of soft homemade pizza crust, different flavours of stuffed breads, buns and much more. I know it's way difficult to remember different dough recipes for different items and it's too easy to make a simple fool proof dough for almost veriety of items. You can easily store it atleast for one weak in freezer.

This is my go-to pizza, breads and buns dough recipe. Consider this your starting guide and refer back to it often. And if you made homemade bagels for the baking challenge this month, you can easily make with this dough because it’s quicker, easier, and requires less steps!

Dough is the foundation for any dough based recipe and every great pizza begins with a great pizza crust. Some like thin and crisp pizza crust, while others prefer thick and soft pizza crust. This homemade dough crust has it all: soft with a delicious crisp and AWESOME flavor.

PREPARATION: 15 Minutes

WAITING: 1-2 Hours

YIELDS: Three 10-13 inches PIZZAS or 3 Stuffed breads or 6-8 buns

Homemade Dough Ingredients:

1 cup (250 grams) water at room temperatur 30 C

2 teaspoons (10 grams) dry instant yeast

2 tablespoons (25 grams) sugar

4 cups (500 grams) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon (8 grams) salt

3 tablespoons (25grams) dry milk powder

4 tablespoons (50 grams) olive oil or unsalted butter

Oregano (optional) 1 teaspoon

PREPARATION:

Mix the dough dry ingredients together in a bowl by using hand or use a hand-held or stand mixer.

Make a deep well in the center of dry ingredients and add olive oil in it. Mix with spatula or by using hands until a coarse batter is formed.

Add water in the coarse batter and knead by hand or beat the dough with your mixer. I used hand mixer and you can watch me in the video although you can use hands or stand mixer.

Increase the speed to medium until a soft ball forms or aroung 10 minutes. The dough must be soft.

Place dough into a greased mixing bowl, cover tightly, and set aside to rise for about 60 to 120 minutes untill it is double in the volume or overnight in the refrigerator.

Scrap and remove the dough from bowl and slightly knead it again on the floured surface and make three equal balls. Use the dough immediately or refrigerate it (less than 48 hours), otherwise place it in an airtight bag and freeze.

Place the frozen pizza dough in the refrigerator for about 8 hours or overnight. When ready to make pizza, remove the dough from the refrigerator and allow to rest for 30 minutes on the counter.
